A small garden house (dacha) stood on a site where our client has spent most of her childhood. It was a very sentimental place where we had to propose a design for a new family house.
The old dacha was simply too small for the client needs and had to be doubled in size. One massive volume was just too big for this area full of tiny dachas and small private houses. We proposed to build two “houses” instead. One for parents, the other one for children. Two volumes share common ground floor space.
One of the main features of the house – burned larch façade which helps to blend the house seamlessly in the surroundings.
