Many Lithuanians choose to study architecture abroad – probably in every top university in the world, we could find a Lithuanian trace. However, many of them do not have any feedback from Lithuania and their academic works collect dust in the university or private archives.

This exhibition aims to change that and presents the five most interesting projects by young architects, who graduated in recent years in Sweden, Belgium and The Netherlands. Although the geography of universities is limited, the geography of their graduation projects expands much further to Bucharest, Bangkok, Yerevan, Umeå and Gothenburg. All works presented in the exhibition are not only aesthetically pleasing, they also offer a very conceptual insightful look at our environment. Projects leave architectural pomp behind and invite us to think about different priorities and find new, often forgotten, interdependencies. Besides some similarities, all works are wildly different in their methods. This exhibition is not only a possibility to learn about the most interesting young Lithuanian architects but at the same time an opportunity to see methodologies employed at different universities in Europe.

Architects presented at the exhibition: Mantas Gipas (Umeå University, Sweden), Dalia Puodžiūtė (KU Leuven, Belgium), Julius Seniunas (KU Leuven, Belgium), Kotryna Urbonaitė (Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands) and Gabrielius Varnelis (Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands).
